Stripe Connect Setup Required
Platform Setup Required: To enable businesses to sign up and receive tips, Stripe Connect must be enabled on your platform account.
What is Stripe Connect?
Stripe Connect allows your platform to create accounts for businesses and facilitate payments between customers and those businesses. This is essential for the tipping platform to work.
How to Enable Stripe Connect in Test Mode:
- Log into your Stripe Dashboard
- Make sure you're in Test mode (toggle in top left should say "Test mode")
- Navigate to Connect in the left sidebar
- Click Get started to enable Connect
- Fill out the basic platform information:
- Platform name: Just The Tip (or your platform name)
- Platform URL: Your Replit app URL
- Description: Digital tipping platform for businesses
- For test mode, approval is usually instant
Perfect for Testing: Since you're in Stripe's test mode sandbox, Connect approval is instant! You can immediately start testing the full platform functionality with test payments.

After Setup:
Once Stripe Connect is enabled on your account, businesses will be able to:
